  • QuickBooks Desktop Pro
  • QuickBooks Premier Application

Now you have to make a backup of QB Desktop and QB POS company file by given them different names so that you may identify them easily later. After doing this follow the steps that are mentioned below:

  • Frame up Sales Tax in QuickBooks, after checking it’s applicability.
  • If applicable, enable the Inventory Feature.
  • While importing the data, you have to remove all the existing lists.

  • Set up default account to create a link between two different files.
  • QB Point of Sale does not create these accounts in QuickBooks software itself.
  • These data comprise undeposited accounts, AP accounts, COGS, inventory assets, sales tax payable.
  • For additional steps you may refer to the Chart of Accounts.
  • Once the process for Financial Exchange is done, you may start working on QuickBooks Desktop at the same time.

You have the option to make this process easier but just initiating required preferences in your QuickBooks Desktop:

  •  Go to the Edit > Preferences > Integrated Application
  • Now Click on the Company Preferences options and then choose QuickBooks POS.
  • Open the Application list and go to the Properties.
  • Select Allow this Application to give read and edit permission.
  • Tap on OK in order to close the Properties windows.
  • Again, repeat the Financial Exchange.

Once you are done with the Financial Exchange, a confirmation window will open where the exchanged records will be available. And you may go to the View Activity Log screen for any other help regarding errors or mistakes.
